Set of two Jasba Keramik ashtrays with brass stand, serie Cortina from the West Germany modernist period.
The beautifully textured, crusty black and blue greenish glaze is called ‘Cortina’ , although this is a very unusual color to find. It was designed by Jasba Keramik in 1956 and named after the Italian town that held the Winter Olympic Games in that year: Cortina D’Ampezzo.
Marked on its shiny black underside “Made in Germany 207”
Measures: 9.5 x 8cm (ashtrays)
Condition is good but one of the ashtrays is slightly damaged (see last picture)
A really rare find.
